Seems kind of innocuous but I mean, what ever truly is?
I’ll start by saying that I’m an Orthodox Christian and detest the papacy, to disclose my position.
Here’s an Orthodox Christian iconographer wrestling with the issue of whether an icon with a similar theme (Christ carrying a sheep) is a valid icon, and concluding yes. https://www.pravmir.com/images-of-the-good-shepherd-icons-or-not/
I have a very long list of complaints about Rome and symbols they use, and this isn’t one of them.
Good eye. I never would have noticed, but after zooming in I see that "Jesus" has his arms crossed and is not crucified.
The arms crossed is very interesting and perhaps sus. The presence of an image other than the crucifixion is within Christian tradition.
For all you non-Catholics this is a cross as in Jesus died on the cross. The bird is a dove and represents the Holy Spirit. The Shepard is protecting his flock.
Hope that helps.
Is that Saint Creepy on the wall?
Creepy crude portrait of ignatius? with Jesuit motto in latin
Who drew 6s instead of circles?!
Not to say there can't be double meanings, but it looks innocent at first glance. Pope Francis is the first Jesuit pope. And he is from Argentina.
They sell replicas for $20. https://www.zieglers.com/pectoral-cross-pendant-pope-francis-4-silver-oxidized-metal-italy-g355g/religious-articles/pope-francis-gifts/
Interesting. Thank you.

I saw an owl face to begin with. Now I see a dove. Interesting.
President Trump has been referred to as a dove... https://time.com/donald-trump-photographs/
