I watch a lot of old movies now, or movies that are NOT: PC, SJW, propaganda or have driven political motives. I can't tolerate them, and will stop the movie as soon as I see that trending.
Same here. Corny movie Critters 1, 2, 3, 4 - old, corny, but still somewhat entertaining. Modern Critters attacks! complete PC SJW propagandic garbage.
Equality means everyone is treated the same regardless of identity, race, or background. There is no discrimination.
The goal of equality: Give everyone an equal opportunity for success.
The problem with equality (according to activists): Everyone is given an equal opportunity for success making people responsible for their own successes or failures.
An example: Those applying to a school would be accepted by their qualifications only. Using identifiers like race, gender, ethnicity, etc for decision-making would be examples of discrimination and would be avoided. The more qualified individual will win and the other would lose.
Equity
Equity is the opposite of equality. Identity, race, background, and behavior are taken into account so everyone is treated differently. THERE IS MANUFACTURED DISCRIMINATION IN EQUITY.
The goal of equity: Make everyone equally successful (or unsuccessful). (Communism)
The problem with equity: Creating identical outcomes for people requires artificially helping demographics deemed worthy. Although this is advertised as moral (and is why social justice initiatives promote equity), helping specific demographics means hurting and discriminating against others.
An example: In an equity-based system, those applying to a school would be accepted by their identifiers like race, gender, ethnicity, etc. Specific demographics deemed worthy of help would be accepted. All others (who may be more qualified) would be hurt and discriminated against.
Equality recognizes the true fact that humans are given different qualities and gifts through nature or nurture. In equality, everyone is given a chance to try. The people most successful will be chosen for that particular field i.e. being a doctor.
Equity does not recognize the differences in people. We're all the same. It uses manufactured discrimination for the purpose of having the same number of different populations presented in any area. It helps install Communism.
In communist Cuba, taxi drivers can earn as much or more than a doctor. What kind of motivation is there for anyone to be an excellent doctor?
You are not looking for the best anymore. How will people trust professionals who were assigned, rather than earned their ranking and opportunities? Who wants a doctor who was still admitted to medical school with lower scores based on their race, rather than their aptitude while other candidate with higher scores are discriminated against? Then this should apply to the NFL. Not many Asians there. Should Asians be picked for the NFL because we don't see them there? Or should be the best athletes be chosen? Would you rather have a team based on equality or equity?
Jobless producer here.
Bang on . Can't get anything made without politics involved. Sad.

I hope that cinema can become art again someday.

Have you thought of a parallel film industry with like-minded people?

Equality is fair, Equity is unfair

No, Weinstein did.
I've found that anything after 2010 is highly likely to be garbage.
