Illinois is another one of those states where 97% of the counties are pro-Trump but counties around Chicago call all the shots. They can't let it be known that they are not as far left as one might think.

Exactly! - Every map, all the time. The blue counties are always around the populated cities where they can focus and control easier.
I sure wish IL, CA, OR, and NY would leave their blue counties all alone and become their own states.
This is what makes me sick every time I see a US political map. Illinois is always shown ALL BLUE. It’s simply not true. We are red to the core except the heavily populated dem counties.
