I started watching again last year. I don’t see any woke stuff pregame or anything. Actually I see lots of praying on the field after games and stuff. Tv doesn’t focus on it tho.
My preacher, who also coaches football, uses that path to get many young men into the Christian faith. And he made a great point. Yes, people started taking a knee for the flag. And it sucked. But like he said, everybody got massively upset and turned the channel. But, you’re still watching your favorite tv series that takes the Lords name in vain every 5 minutes. People don’t mind sex scenes in their living rooms. Why not just invite a couple over and watch it live? Basically it goes on like that. People get all upset over a flag, but don’t give a crap about what is said about our savior. But don’t you dare disrespect that flag! It’s all about morals. I won’t be saluting a flag in Heaven. I won’t be saying a pledge of allegiance to a flag. I actually stopped doing that already. I don’t owe anything to that flag. I owe everything to God. Doesn’t matter what happens down here. Not when we go up there. 👍
Good points. Got rid of cable TV a while ago...not just because of sports.
When we want some entertainment we read or watch physical media like DVD old movies. I do miss sports like baseball, football and especially hockey. The flag thing is upsetting, but even more so was the BLM and LBGTQ stuff many of the teams push on the fans. Makes me ill to support that stuff.
God Bless you, Fren...and God Bless those who are awake and have a healthy respect for God.
Long time ago I worked for a cable company in their call center doing sales and support work. After I saw how much tax is in those monthly bills coupled with dishonesty about how long you were getting the lower "new customer" rate I lost the willingness to pay for that product. It's probably even worse now. You really are paying for all the content you get even the stuff you never watch. Ridiculous. Cut the cord in 2013 and haven't missed it. Still use antenna so I can pick up the free channels, there are a few that air older shows from the pre woke era and that's nice to have for a rainy day.
