I graduated with a journalism degree in 2017 and did my capstone paper on this very topic, the head of the journalism department was a white boomer woman who actively discouraged me from writing on this topic, gave me zero assistance with research (I ended up purchasing datasets from several counties in the state out of pocket) and cancelled class the day I was supposed to give my oral presentation.
To be fair she still gave me an A in the class because I earned it but you could tell it bothered her that someone had the balls to write on this topic. I'll take to my grave she cancelled class the stop me from administering red pills to the other students with my presentation. I had a reputation in the journalism school for being able to do presentations without note cards and I was very prepared to give that speech
I worked billing and tech support for a cable company briefly in my 20s. Was able to see how much of the average cable bill is tax and surcharges. Couldnt pay for that in good conscience ever again, assume its even worse now. I ended up refusing to split the cable bill with roommates back before I owned my house. Been almost 15 years now that I haven't had cable in the home. Feels pretty good. I love the crazy looks I get from Boomers when I tell them. They'll ask "well how do you get your news?" to which I reply, "I have a journalism degree, the last thing I need is to get my news from TV corporations". Usually evokes a real life version of the NPC meme or Pikachu face meme lol
I graduated under Bush 43 and the teachers weren't trying to turn me into a girl either. The trans thing has not even been around for a decade. If you pay attention to the news timeline rather than the news cycle, then you already know that this transgender horse shit started immediately after Obergefell v. Hodges in 2015. Progressives didnt even take a victory lap. Literally no one was talking about using the other sex's bathrooms until 2015.
I had been obese since I was a teenager and started working on finally slaying the dragon about 2 years ago (July 4th is my anniversary, how cool is that?). I started with only resistance training in the gym, then added in cardio, then tuned my diet. The only carbs I'm eating are 100% whole grain bread, tortillas and rice. Everything else is animal protein, fruits and vegetables. For drink all I consume is water, coffee, whole milk and unsweetened tea. No alcohol. Been on the diet since about Christmas and I'm down about 40 pounds. I feel better than I did in my 20s.
I have a whiteboard on my fridge and I wrote this quote on it
"The toughest enemy you will ever encounter is yourself."
Motivates me like you would not believe. I'm not perfect and sometimes lose to myself still, but I've made remarkable improvements in most areas of my life living by this philosophy.
I think people get the idea that Taylor Swift is an op because of the timing of her relationship with Travis Kelce going public being immediately after he became the face of Pfizer's new covid shot ad campaign.
I dont think Taylor Swift has the power to influence the election in a measurable way. If she comes out and endorses Biden, anyone who votes based on that would have done it if any celebrity told them to. Other celebrities surely will do the same, so it will wash out in my opinion.
Evey presidential election the left uses celebrity pawns to influence votes. Katy Perry endorsed Obama and Hillary. This is not new.
