Russia does quite a good job of integrating other religions while keeping Orthodox Christianity central as the authoritative religion of the culture. And this has been the case for centuries. Russia has a better approach than the melting pot —people understand what’s what and there are boundaries. I’m not saying problems aren’t possible, but it’s much better than it looks to an American on first blush.
