I see it in my city in Russia every day. Vastly different relationship with Muslims than there was in the US. It’s a Christian society here and they respect that as a foundation that is compatible with their ability to live their faith.
I'm sure that's a fair point, but I want to kindly remind you -- Mind you, I'm not trying to discount or refute or any other thing that could be seen as anything other than a kind reminder -- that most of the world was doing the same thing, and there is not a single place where it has worked beyond a generation or two.
Sure, America's melting pot has definitely gone too far. But that's because of generations of erosion. It did not happen right away, or all at once. Not just for Muslims, but for everyone else foreign to the nation. So surely you could at least concede that there is a valid concern that people have for a non-Russian majority region.
You make a good point with high effort. Respect.
I do acknowledge that. I think it’s the CIA and similar deep state elements disrupting the harmony and trying to recraft religion as a tool for satanic destruction. They’ve had a lot of success.
So it’s in view of that that I say that Russia’s long and continuous history of success with this integration is remarkable. They already tried to destroy Russia using Chechens. The Russian state flipped that and now Chechens are fighting on the side of the Russian military. That’s progress toward unity and harmony, not toward interreligious conflict.
I acknowledge the danger. Beloved (and saintly) priest Fr. Daniil Sysoev, who was successfully evangelizing Muslims to become Orthodox, was martyred in his Moscow parish in 2009 by a Muslim.
