HERE'S WHAT I REMEMBER about the Suicide of Cathriona White, age 30:

Jim Carrey's former girlfriend Cathriona White died of suicide by overdose in 2015. Cathriona was a makeup artist from Ireland, and Carrey came under fire after he was accused of supplying the drugs which contributed to her death.

I remember reading that she developed 2 or 3 STDs after being with him and asked Jim why he lied about being STD-free. He insisted he had none and that it was no big deal anyway and told her she was making a fuss for no reason. It was later that she found medication for such STDs in his home but under a fake name to conceal his identity. When she revealed what she had found in his home he broke up with her and said she was too needy or some such thing.

She accused Carrey of giving her the venereal diseases and wrote: “My blood is on your hands,” investigators have found.

In a suicide note, she wrote to Carrey: "Jim, you ruined my life. And even after doing so you added insult upon insult on top."

Another note written by her two years before she took her own life has also come to light.

In the distraught message, Ms. White accuses the actor of ruining her life, saying “You gave me HSV and HPV, I want you to apologise for it because you care enough to. I want you to understand that however little a thing that seems to you, it ruins a girl’s life."

“You introduced me to cocaine, prostitutes, mental abuse and disease.”

She described in more detail her state of mind: “You threw me away when you absorbed anything worthwhile that was left of me.”

“Before you, I might not have had very much but I had respect, I was a happy person.”
