At the hunting parties they would have expendable children outside in the woods, or in the holding grounds like a tunnel underground, held in the cages before the hunt.
Once it's dark outside they'll make a perimeter in the woods and station different elite people around the perimeter and release the kids and they're told to run and hide, and that's when the elites go hunting for them.
When they catch them they'll sexually abuse them then kill them.
Not everyone will get killed, if not they're used for other hunts. Some kids were really good survivors that continued on with it.
