Weirdly 'The Shining' is Kubrick's creation. He never read the end of the books he was turning into movies. King hated Stanley's 'adaptation' of the source material.
Weird movie I'll admit, but at the end where they roll the credits, there is a great old song by Ray Noble and his orchestra called "Midnight, the Stars and You." I love that song, especially when it's played on a system where you can vary the sound fields to make it sound like it's in an old dance hall.
Interesting because Stephen King did the follow-up of Stanley Kubrick's The Shining.
The movie is called Dr Sleep.
It's about harvesting adrenochrome while murdering a child. Q said follow the white rabbit. Dr Sleep is his movie.
The Shining isn't a Stanley Kubrick creation. King wrote the book in the late 70s
