Swift-Haley were inserted as an attempt to revive a story that is growing old. Among my family and friends who still watch the NFL, most have tired of the KC Chiefs. Similarly many Americans have tired of establishment politics.
The role of Swift is to revive the fairy tale image of the Chiefs. The role of Haley was to revive the old Republican Party fairy tale in order to save the Uniparty.
I think the Chiefs will get knocked out this weekend. I won’t be surprised if a favorable on-field ruling for the Chiefs gets overturned upon review. Perhaps President Trump receives a favorable ruling upon review and then Haley will exit the race soon after.
Just a guess based on what I hope is intelligence guided by experience.
I also think they are looking to create another Tom Brady celebrity type of player.
Especially after Brady's not so graceful exit.
