I think what SCOTUS did was a strategic retreat that opened up this border fight to Article 4 Section 4 and Article 1 Section 10 considerations. This is the fight that everything has been leading to since Trump came down the escalator. This is the fight that returns the power to the People and the States their sovereignty. This is the fight (along with Chevron) that ends the Feds unrestrained power over the People. SCOTUS did not rule on the merits of any case, they simply removed an injunction while the actual case is still being adjudicated in the 5th Circuit. The effect of which is small and temporary.
Quit thinking emotionally and start thinking logically and strategically. Timing is everything and that SCOTUS ruling was perfectly timed to destroy two centuries of creep upon our rights.
Is this the precipice?
Instead of inching towards the precipice, we're taking large strides now. I don't think we're there yet.
Depends how far the Feds are willing to push the issue. If we see military units lined up against NG units from 25 different States, Id say yea this is the precipice.
Well said. This was a trivial SC ruling... the 5th Circuit case is still ongoing. Meanwhile, Texas gets to have all kinds of fun flipping off the feds, and lots of other states get to join in as well.
The Chevron Deference case is huge. It would destroy the alphabet agencies ability to spew out all of those B.S. rules and regulations.
I'm thinking anything with Roberts involved is slimy and untrustworthy. Call it emotion. Call it a gut feeling. That guy is bad news. And ACB has been a shit choice from the beginning. On stuff that matters, she has always sided with the Leftists. Sure, there's luring the enemy into a trap when you're weaker and need to use tricks and cunning. But when you have overwhelming strength, you can be the blunt object that pounds the other side into submission.
