I think after the border bullshit has shown, nothing that goes before SCOTUS is a given.
Well, the SC gave the FEDs the right to take down the wire, but didn't say Tx. was forbidden to put more up. There are a LOT of Currents in motion and a poor guy like me can't follow them all. Trust TRUMP!
Texas needed a negligent Federal government in order to gain the powers of self-protection. How else were the going to get the National Guard to deploy coast to coast and not have the normies freak out? All placed in time for the Antifa planned riots?
very dasting thought fren!!!
Trust God
I am not a lawfag, but Mike Lee said this.
Mike Lee @BasedMikeLee There’s no ruling against Texas to defy.
There was an order against DHS, not Texas.
SCOTUS vacated that order.
Texas can’t defy an order that (1) doesn’t exist, and (2) never existed in the first place.
Please read before you falsely accuse.
If I read that right, it just means the Feds are responsible for protecting the border, and removing the wire is showing how they are failing to do their duty.
was coming to say similar. with the way ussc cases have been ruled lately, this may not be good news. I pray I am wrong.
I think what SCOTUS did was a strategic retreat that opened up this border fight to Article 4 Section 4 and Article 1 Section 10 considerations. This is the fight that everything has been leading to since Trump came down the escalator. This is the fight that returns the power to the People and the States their sovereignty. This is the fight (along with Chevron) that ends the Feds unrestrained power over the People. SCOTUS did not rule on the merits of any case, they simply removed an injunction while the actual case is still being adjudicated in the 5th Circuit. The effect of which is small and temporary.
Quit thinking emotionally and start thinking logically and strategically. Timing is everything and that SCOTUS ruling was perfectly timed to destroy two centuries of creep upon our rights.
Is this the precipice?
Instead of inching towards the precipice, we're taking large strides now. I don't think we're there yet.
Depends how far the Feds are willing to push the issue. If we see military units lined up against NG units from 25 different States, Id say yea this is the precipice.
Well said. This was a trivial SC ruling... the 5th Circuit case is still ongoing. Meanwhile, Texas gets to have all kinds of fun flipping off the feds, and lots of other states get to join in as well.
The Chevron Deference case is huge. It would destroy the alphabet agencies ability to spew out all of those B.S. rules and regulations.
I'm thinking anything with Roberts involved is slimy and untrustworthy. Call it emotion. Call it a gut feeling. That guy is bad news. And ACB has been a shit choice from the beginning. On stuff that matters, she has always sided with the Leftists. Sure, there's luring the enemy into a trap when you're weaker and need to use tricks and cunning. But when you have overwhelming strength, you can be the blunt object that pounds the other side into submission.
Yup, we are about to find out what a US$2 million book deal can buy. ACB is going to show how cheap a SCOTUS judge is.
And before that, the 2020 Election. Only Two of the Nine were willing to hear the Election Fraud cases.
