Meme pages, coworkers, etc. have no interest in the Super Bowl. People are beginning to see that these playoffs were all a sham to get Taylor Swift and the Chiefs a Super Bowl victory maximizing money.
Jokes on the NFL though. Even some of my braindead normie coworkers see through it. Nobody wants to watch. Everyone assumes KC will be given the game by the refs/NFL. Unfortunately for the NFL if they want to save their reputation they are gonna have to rig it for the 49ers.
Amazing how these normies can see it in the NFL but can’t/refuse to see it in every other facet of life.
I'm 40. Been watching NFL football since 1992. Some of you kids weren't around during the days before replay, back when we blamed literally everything on the referees. Replay showed us so many bad calls and there were no repercussions. Nowadays if you blow a call, there are massive consequences by the league. One crew called a single game so badly this year they were banned outright from officiating in the postseason. And any questionable calls are reviewed by refs upstairs in the booth based on what they see on replay, and are able to call down to the refs on the field to stop play to make corrections where they miss things.
As a teenager and young adult, I about gave up on watching the sport because I was so frustrated by just having to live with bad calls, and feeling like the game was never truly decided on the field. Nowadays I almost NEVER feel like that. And I'd wager about 80% of the time that I think a ref got something wrong on the field initially, after looking at replay, I realize how talented and spot on these guys have become in recent decades.
I'm sorry but I just don't buy the NFL is rigged conspiracy. Every year there are 5 or 6 theories that float around, and people just hope one sticks to confirm their suspicion. This year everyone was sure the Super Bowl would be between the 49ers and Ravens because the Super Bowl colors were red and purple. That didn't pan out so Taylor Swift and Kelce slipped in behind it and became the new theory du jure.
I'll just say this: I've never met someone over age 30 who watches the NFL regularly who holds this opinion. Sorry not sorry. If it's rigged, it aint rigged the way you think it is.
If Kelce and Taylor end up in the Whitehouse after a Super Bowl win, and endorse Biden, I will never believe it wasn't pre-determined. Just the rise of Swift alone, with the mag covers, concert and press fawning this year sends serious creep vibes. Now her bf gets into the Super Bowl? Yah, sure.
Then you aren’t watching the games.
The refs could call holding on almost every play. Reviews and challenges don't apply to no-calls.
Yeah I disagree with that. I see a lot of stuff that a novice would call holding but the standard isn't "did you grab ahold of them" but rather, "did grabbing ahold of him truly impact his trajectory." Same with pass interference. I'm honestly happier with the state of rules and how they're enforced in the NFL now than I've ever been by a longshot. It's to the point that people who complain are ten times more annoying to me than the calls actually happening on the field. Which is a complete 180 from where I was just 15 years ago. If you really try to take your own personal bias out of it, which is really hard for teens and twenty somethings, the calls are pretty damn great overall. Not to mention the replay rule of "overturned, confirmed, or stands." God, the problems THAT little adjustment solved...I could go on for days. Best officiating of all professional sports if you ask me. Well...at least it's a hell of a lot better than the NBA. My God.
Great comment. Can you mansplain the Manning flat football hoax? Thx. -V/R, Concerned Rabbit Hole Joneser

That missed PI call against the Saints the led to Brady winning with Tampa Bay? Come on.
And the “Jordan Rules”. There was a point in MJs career when you legit couldn’t touch him.
