There is an extension for Chromium-based browsers (like Brave and... ugh... Chrome) called Cococut. That'll download the video for you. It's the best video downloader out there, IMO.

1. youtube downloader.
2. download via frontend.
3. yt-dlp

** youtube downloader steps:

1. open internet browser. IT matters not which one.
2. go to the searchfield and enter: youtube downloader.
3. pick one of the downloader-addresses
4. copy the yt-video link.
5. goto downloader pge and paste yt-link in conversion field, and click ok. 6.wait a little till the process completes. Click save.

Note: in some cases you can add closed captions or other features

** download via frontend.

1. goto frontend: invidious.io.lol
2. check left side if download option is enabled. If yes, then download format of your choice and save.

note: there are many more instances of this frontend, it saves you the yt data harvesting effect.

** yt-dlp

1. if not on Linux, but on MAC or Windows: goto browser and search:
2. yt-dlp github.
3. clone it and install.
4. copy the video-link without https://.
5. use code: yt-dlp -F video-link to see the downloadable formats. Usually for video it is 22. This step is not necessary if you use the following code:
6. yt-dlp -f best video-link
