Specifically, the Red Cross provided fake passports to Nazis as they escaped Germany after the 2nd world War. The catholic church provided the safe houses along the way to Spain (neutral and friendly to Hitler), and from there to Argentina and South America.

They also visited the work camps dozens of times and found nothing wrong... sure those gas chambers are perfectly normal as well as the incinerators.
