I just realized. Trump’s “less than 5 months” comment will be within the next 2 weeks.
🗣️ DISCUSSION 💬
Trump said at a rally 4+ months ago, "less than 5 months from now, the country will be well on its way to recovery". This comment has stuck in my mind since he said it. I wish I had the sauce. Please share it if you have it. I am so excited, but not sure what to be excited about...
Most likely, a reference to the timeline of him being declared the Republican nominee. Nothing more.
Except he won't be declared the nominee until July 18. He may be the front running candidate, with all the other significant candidates having dropped out, but he's that already. But there could still be lots of shenanigans the GOP could play between now and then.
I feel it has to be more than this. His timing of 5 months was just too strange.
Officially? Sure. But once Nikki Hillary drops out, it's unofficially official.
So when will that happen?
She will drop out after she gets smoked in S Carolina which is Feb 27th I think. Nevada is next up though and she on the primary ballot but that doesnt give out delegates so is meaningless. Not sure if she is in the Caucus, not sure how those work in an individual State.
After S Carolina is Super Tuesday which is on March 4th this year I think. I highly doubt she is still in the race then. At that point they will be calling Trump the presumptive nominee until he is officially chosen by delegate count at the Convention in August.
Even though he is running unopposed from Super Tuesday onward, I dont really expect him to slow down on the rallies. I think he will hit up at least the battleground States like Michigan, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Wisconsin, Georgia, probably multiple times. He will hit other important States like Florida, Ohio, Texas too.
2 more weeks.
