Absolutely agree. They have a professional duty of care and a duty of candor. They chose to ignore both. The job protection BS is just that. BS. When the rubber hits the road like this shows your mettle. Both I and my OH left jobs because we wanted no part of what was happening. My OH is a nurse and is so glad he wasn’t working in the NhS. He’d never work for them again the whole organization is rancid and full of “professionals” in name only who have no concept of critical thinking or professional ethics
Good for you. I also wanted no part and left. I was a few years from retiring but chose to leave early and I took a financial hit making such a move. But I could not participate in what I knew was going to result in death and injury to millions. If more of us in health care would have said no to this shit show in the beginning things would have shut down almost immediately.
