I agree because the people I know that are sick for long periods of time have poor diets, poor habits and also refuse to takes steps to improve their condition.
Constant coughing? Drink and eat foods to soothe those symptoms (eg pineapple).
Congestion? Lots of vitamin C and water.
Achy muscles? Increase protein intake and rest in proportion to amount of time of exertion.
You should also add. Only take over the counter meds for if the ailment is unbearable for you to live with. Minor headaches can be dealt with proper hydration

Tylenol, aspirin and Motrin are toxic on the kidneys and liver.
I think cold baths are better to help with pain symptoms of muscle aches and headaches.
