I’m not a big country fan but I know this song and I always thought this man was very handsome. So I cried through the video. He’s part of my generation and I feel the loss.
He was a patriot loved America and the troops. He did a lot of shows for the troops. I don’t have any idea if he was awake in his last years. He was a democrat but I think I heard he changed that.
I could see the troops loved that song. I’m sure he wasn’t a democrat after he saw what Biden was doing but when facing cancer your family becomes more important than your politics. So I hope he let all that fade away and enjoyed his loved ones until the end. Thanks for the response.
I feel like he did. He’s got three kids. He did some shows last year and interviews said cancer was gone. It was something about his attitude, he wanted to get back with the fans. I don’t remember the interview he said something like, he’s going to live life because we don’t know how long we have. We as in everyone. I was hoping for a different outcome but didn’t expect it. He was so weak. It’s sad because he was one of the few patriots in music left that cared about the military. At least he’s not in pain anymore.
I kind of like the song and I like that Keith supported the troops, but the sad truth is that 9/11 was bullshit and besides the War of Independence and the War of 1812, American wars have been bullshit.

This song was a staple on my playlist for our July 4th celebration on the lake when we're lighting up literally thousands of dollars of fireworks.
Toby Keith is as American as you can get IMHO and he will be truly missed by millions upon millions of fans all over the world.
Damn, this one stings like a bitch...
RIP my friend......You're music will live on forever.....

A very good one! He didn’t have a bad song.
He was an artist unlike the others. If I remember well, he set up his own recording studio and produced his own music.
