More like, "Make it happen, Farmer John!" (Many cows never physically encounter their calves' baby daddies nowadays as artificial insemination is big business because it's said to be safer and cheaper [no horny/dangerous bulls to manage or feed] and more efficient/productive [can produce higher quality offspring bc of access to higher-quality, "proven" semen that can be "applied" at just the right time rather than hoping "romance happens" and that nature - adequately and at the right time - "takes its course"].)

"Science" and profit seem to distort everything such that even lowly animals can no longer live simple animal lives.
Far to often in my journey I seem like I'm the first in line to meet the sunsetting of so much those before me got to enjoy.
I recall as a private in the army I was treated like shit. Like sub human unworthy trash that needed to prove my worth (special operations generalized hazing). Back of the line, last to get anything etc. When I became a Sergeant, everything flipped, we were letting the privates eat first, told to fill their fucking canteens etc. WTF? This wasn't the way it was when I was a private, NCO's were living large, when I became one, I was now the butler to the privates. How did this happen? None of that was anything too major in the grand scheme of things but it seems like I've been in the bubble of screwed over by everything for decades now. Even pay, I made more as route driver in 2003 than I do as a two degreed technical systems admin 20 years later.
To add more to it, my expectation of getting social security by the time I'm eligible for it is very low. I wont even be the least bit surprised if that is gone by the time it is my turn to get mine.
Sorry, just needed to get that rant off my chest. Perpetual screwed over is the river I swim in. On the bright side, calm seas and sailor proficiency comes to mind.
Because:
•the government keeps claiming that there are various made up diseases and kills groups of them off
•everything is so expensive, who can afford to raise them?
•the government has regulated the small family farmer out of business ( they're even attacking Amish farms)
•vaccinations (need I say more)
•grain isn't just grain anymore, what's being fed to them? (remember the egg layer grain with chemicals to stop egg production)
I could not agree more with the reasons you have given! There are a couple more like huge swathes of farm land being purchased by cpp and gates, etc.
Eat ze bugs. 😡
Obviously they're not calculating in all those heifers that can be herd at those blm/lgbtq protests around the globe.
Nobody ever comes to count mine.
Hmmm why isn't stated in the article.
Dear God, please get these cows humping and making babies. Amen!

Just in time for me to become a carnivore.
