The news cycle needed something to report on big enough to ignore the Tucker interview. This was it. Came out same time the interview was being released.
Trucker looked off in the interview to me. And I have a gut feeling that someone got to him, and caused him to throttle back a bit. He seemed to hint on some topics that he wanted to ask, and my impression was that Putin was very careful with what he said, not because of pressure, but from a strategic perspective.
I don’t think he looked off, but rather very focused, and perhaps a bit nervous. He’s literally interviewing someone that hasn’t been interviewed by any American in many many years. For him to even get this interview was probably a crazy challenge, and in return he had to be respectful but also true to his now approach to modern journalism.
Also, for Putin to grant an interview, I’m sure there were stipulations/parameters that were agreed upon in the first place.
Also agree that Putin was careful with what he said.
Well, he looked as intensive in his listening as he always was. I will say I can guess he was reserved understanding he was in Russia and ultimately at the hands of Putin, not wanting to do something to get locked up. But the balls on him to go there and still ask tough questions, and be persistent in attempting to get the ones he did ask.
The West forced Russia's hand by breaking agreements to not expand NATO
A negotiated, signed, and agreed to end to war was trashed by the West.
Russia is open to negotiations, talks to end the conflict, the West is not.
I don't think that Putin could state directly that the President is not in control, but that America is run by other forces, but sometimes what you don't say is more powerful than what you do, and I think Tuckers question in this area, and Putin's mostly non-answer left it for people to fill in the blank.
Recognize that Trump in his speeches does not say a lot about the nefarious forces running the world. If you were running a high level military operation, of course would not want to tell the enemy your aware of their position. Same with Putin if he is onboard with this operation. Let the enemy think they are strong, when they are weak. Pretend to be far away, when you are near. Everything else is just expression of vanity.

I'll go with that.

I think he did get three point across strongly:
