But how would you interface the Android based Firestick to the PC, that is connected to the dumb (non-smart) TV? Can a Windows based PC, interface with an Andriod removable media.

If I connect my android phone via USB to my laptop, the answer is yes, so I maybe this is a dumb question.

I guess I can research for myself and figure it out. I will check out the site.

You mentioned plugging your computer into your TV with an HDMI. The firestick connects via HDMI, so you just plug it into your tv, assuming your TV has an HDMI input.

lol yea I don't just plug one end of the HDMI into my computer and leave the other end laying out on the floor.

Yes, I didn't mean you just plug one end in and leave the other unplugged. Miscommunication on my part.

As long as you have an HDMI port on your TV, you can make it smart with a firestick. You will need WiFi of course.

No worries fren. I'm being a smart ass again. I'm a recovering asshole, an I take it one day at a time. "I'm not going to be an asshole today", kind of effort. Results aren't 100%

And I just thought that since my first comment stated "and because I am connected from PC to TV via HDMI cable", that it would be understood that the PC and the TV both had an HDMI port.
