People seem to confuse Russia's "willingness to talk" with "negotiations" i.e. give and take.
Russians when at war will always talk. They talked to the original nazis too. They talked to them while accepting their surrender.
Putin is willing to talk but the goals of the SMO, and in particular the demilitarization and denazification of the cabal (i.e. Nato, not just the puppet rump called 'ukraine') is going to contiune.
The talking will be: do you want to do this willingly, or forcefully? Same as the capitulation talks with Kreibs.
