As someone that's been on the internet since about 1995, all of what he says makes total sense.
And I like his comment about them "not being ready for the internet". Essentially saying that they created a monster that they could not control (a la, Frankenstein).
I've always said one of the biggest mistakes that they made was attacking sub cultures (like gaming, comics) because it woke A LOT of people up to what was going on. All I was literally doing back in 2014 was playing video games, then I was pulled into this global information conflict. If they were smart, they would have left us alone.
This is why they were triggered by Gamergate so badly that they still write articles.
Trying to social ostracize the one community that is already considered basement dwelling virgins was bound to fail, plus it's a goal oriented community with a greater share of autists.
Huge strategic blunder.
