I am no supporter of Nimrata Haley, it occurs to me she generally seemed to stick with America First at the UN when working for Trump (though my memory could be way off on that).
What if some of these primary candidates were fully on board with Trump & them "running" against him is just a method of draining the opposition funds on a candidate to nowhere?
At this point I wouldn't be suprised if this theory is accurate, & it could make for a fantastic script/movie. Though just wanted to see what other interesting ideas you guys all have that could play along with the plan, regardless of them being accurate or not. It gets the ol' noggin joggin with a game theory exercise.
The only reason she is still in the race is because trump wants her their....

The reality is, most people start off with ideals and want to change the world. Only when they are tested under intense pressure - with money, with threats, with blackmail etc, will their real nature come out.
During Trump's first term, there was no way to know whether Nimrata or any other such people were true patriots. But one of the purpose of this devolution was to separate out the wheat from the chafe.
Ones who stick around till the very end against Trump are the ones who were most compromised.

At the very least it helps Trump by keeping him on the campaign trail. Meanwhile, it hurts the RNC because they can't declare Trump the nominee yet plus it hurts the democrats because Democratic donors are spending money on her. That is money that could have gone to Joe Biden and other democrats.
The only way this helps Nikki Haley is if something were to happen to Trump.
You have a point. Besides, if the funds don't go to her, it'd have gone to someone else..may as well be for a double agent secretly working for white hats.
