The election is 9 months away and the Inauguration is 11 months away. I hope the government is only funded through continuing resolutions from here to President Trump being sworn in. It’s vitally important to avoid any long term legislation that will be difficult to repeal and replace.
I could be wrong, but I feel like our government has been funded by CRs since Oblama was in the residence. It's been one very long road of kick the can.
Could be wrong. Just feels that way.
Paul Ryan even ran for Speaker promising a return to regular order. Of course we now know that was never going to happen.
I think you’re right. All I know is every time the government is shutdown the only thing it accomplishes is the Republicans get take a beating at the hands of the Dems and the MSM. Looking back I wonder if the RINOS, as controlled opposition, shutdown the government intentionally to help the Dems win a majority the upcoming election?
One thing is for sure, Biden and Schumer aren’t going to sign off on serious legislation reinforcing the border and reining in spending just to avoid a shutdown. But, with an assist from the MSM, they will make it sound like Johnson is killing elderly people if there is a shutdown. Hopefully he’s maneuvering them into a bare bones CR that excludes money for Ukraine and Israel.
Shut it down. It doesn’t work for We the People any longer so we’d be better off!!!
Mike “Ball less’ Johnson. Or is it Mike “Cowardly” Johnson? Or Mike “Loser” Johnson? Or Mike “Cuck” Johnson?
Or all of the above? I vote for all of the above.
Why avoid?
