Couple years ago when covid had most sheep worried with muzzles on, a lady we camp next to and hang out with would often get a bit tipsy and announce braggadociously to the entire campground "I'm working to save lives".
She works at Glaxo-Smith-Kline someplace in New Hampshire doing research. It was super cringey when she did it, but was REALLY bad given what the wife and I know about the cancer / covid scams.
She has some biomedical degree but one of her kids is autistic. The wake up process will be rough for her. Pretty sure she got all her shots to keep her job also.

You suppose her needing to get tipsy and announce that was her attempt to convince herself?
Yes.
