Don’t get me wrong— worked alongside illegals in Texas for 50 years— most great people that I liked and respected as humans on this earth— my problem was always— I pay out the butt for healthcare insurance— they went to ER for free- and you all know the rest of the story
Newcomers, 'eh? Where have I heard that before? Hmmm.
Alien Nation (1988)
The story takes place in Los Angeles in 1988. An extraterrestrial spacecraft crash-lands on Earth. The saucer houses 300,000 occupants, an extraterrestrial race of hard labor workers. With no way to return to their home planet, the occupants are first quarantined for three years and then finally released in 1991 to live among humans in the LA area.
These visitors, become referred to euphemistically as the Newcomers, have been created by genetic engineering to be good slaves; they’re smart, strong and adaptable. But there is no slavery on Earth, so the aliens are slowly absorbed into Southern California society, where some become cops, some become robbers and some operate convenience stores.
There are some surprises:
Newcomers have a secret agenda they’re concealing from humans;
This is “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” all over again, except that the pod people are operating in plain sight this time;
The entities that bred the Newcomers to be slaves sends its warships to recapture them, and humans and Newcomers fight side-by-side to repel them.
ILLEGAL ALIENS. SAY IT.
Treason by any other name is still Treason.
Mojados- say it

The evolution of federal new-think language;
Illegal aliens- undocumented workers- international travelers- newcomers.
That happened in the course of about 7 years.
Next they’ll call them American citizens.
Didn't the V series about reptilian invaders in spaceships, who then integrated into American society, call the invaders Newcomers?
