Not really anything to report.
She did eat twice yesterday. She was being a pita for food early afternoon and again around 8pm. Ill probably stick with feeding her when shes looking for food. Shes used to eating everything and anything all day long. She was never on a i feed her at 8am and 5pm thing.usually had a full bowl of dry food 24/7.
She got mad cuz we went to do laundry and took all the blankets to wash. She was not happy when we got back.🤣
Things dont seem to be getting any worse. Visually,i dont see her fat ass losing wieght. Gonna call the vet today to see if he wants to see her and find out if anything can be done with the lump.
If the Fenben is working but the lumps don't go away, they may be benign tumors that many old dogs commonly develop. The vet can remove them.
Might just be skin tags. My dog has a lot of those. I thought I would try rubbing some horse ivermectin paste on and see if it makes a difference.
There is a noticeable difference between the lumps and skin tags.
Be careful not to put too much ivermectin on your dog, unless you know how much they can have, and remember they absorb things through their skin too. Also... Very Important! Make sure your dog doesn't have that MDR1 gene mutation that makes them dangerously oversensitive to ivermectin.
Some of the breeds that have the MDR1 gene:
Australian Shepherd
Border Collie
Collie
German Shepherd Dog
Miniature American Shepherd
Old English Sheepdog
Shetland Sheepdog
Skye Terrier
Mixed-breeds that may have herding-breed heritage

Thanks, I did read that previously. I have a 13 yo cocker.
The lump appeared after the first 2 teeth were pulled.the smell went away for a few days then the top of head sunk in and the lump started. Had a third tooth pulled.the smell was gone for a week or so.i figured the lump was an infection from the teeth she was antibitics for 2 months straight.the lump just grew and the smell came back. Where the teeth were, her bone is sticking out.
She got a couple swollen lymphnodes in her neck as well.
I just know the lump is a source of a lot of issues. It needs to go. If it wasnt for the lump and deflated side of her head, you wouldnt know this dog is sick.
I have a soon to be 11 year old pup with a lump. She’s completely fine with it. Tears around the yard, eats like a champ, etc. I read that an elderly dog doesn’t take anesthesia well, as in, can’t survive it, so I’m not sure she’d be a candidate for removal. She’s on fenben, ivermectin, and a bunch of other things.
