And exactly what would that accomplish for you? Do you need a talking point or are you looking to solve for the root issue? Seems your looking to make a point rather than to solve the problem.
Crime is predominantly committed in the immediate surroundings of ones neighborhood. That's no surprise.
As a result of a people's natural gravitation to ones own culture you will find that Hispanics commit crimes attributed to them in Hispanic areas and likewise for blacks. And that phenomenon also applies to whites.
The majority of crimes are committed by minorities. This is true. But this is more closely correlated to socioeconomic status rather than race since one can apply the same rule in predominantly white lower income and lower educated neighborhoods.
At the root of the 'crime' issue is not race but rather socioeconomic and education level.
If you follow minorities that have been able to escape this condition you also find that the crime does NOT follow. The clear implications being that race is not the determining factor in propensity to commit crime but economic and education level instead.
Any person with a low income and education level is at greater risk of crime being committed on them or they committing a crime. Regardless of race.
Once that problem is solved one can focus on other factors like gang and rap culture. Since gangs and glorification of rap culture is a result of a desperate society that is looking to belong or make ends meet solely as a result of the initial cause. Initial cause being economic and education in nature.
What we will find is if the economic and education level is improved in these areas or groups of people the desire to commit these crimes dwindle and the desire to 'belong' to a gang or 'gang family' also dwindles and with that the fog of gang war lifts and a people can see a bit more clearly.
I am not saying that crime is involuntary and punishment shouldn't be dealt. What I am saying is that such massive societal problems shouldn't be cast away as 'race' issues. This only serves to rid us of our responsibility to find real and lasting solutions.
I came from that. I grew up in the streets of East Los Angeles. I am a minority and even I can see the glaring ridiculousness of such surface level arguments.

Down vote away
Because people need to access how dangerous something really is.
If I know that a certain group has a higher chance of commiting crime. But those crimes tend to trend in certain areas.
If I see a member of that group outside of the high crime areas. I can help make better decisions on where to go and where not to go.
High IQ means understanding the details correct? High IQ would say.
I am seeing a black in the burbs, I less likely have to be concerned.
Vs seeing the black closer to downtown Chicago.
