Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
I slipped and fell many times before I ever found God but once I did now I actually believe that I have a chance at one day never falling again.
but yeah do you wanna check out that Rare of Breed guy? I can't promise you'll like his style cause if we all liked the exact same music what would be the point? but... I will say if you're a "church person" lol then its something you can appreciate lol
edit: i just realized how relevant your username is to this story I told you lol
There is a reason many alcoholics never say "I am a recovered alcoholic", we admit we are alcoholics, and no matter the length of time, we are always in recovery. One Day at a Time, ask for God's help in the morning and thank HIM at night for sobriety. The day I say I am "more sober" than anyone else on this road, is the day I forget who has all the power in my life. Every second of our day is brought to us by the Almighty , remembering that has always kept me from temptation, but first I have to remember it. I threw away many days in my youth, and I cannot get them back, but I have today, God grants me one day at a time, I try to spend it wisely and in gratitude. May God in Christ bless you and bring you peace of mind and joy.
Amen
You can post the link here if you want to. Can’t promise I’ll be into it, but that’s what we do here we share stuff.
Like I said, ya there's a flip of a coin wether you'll like the song but trust me you'll like the message lol
And hey at the very least I know you can appreciate the fact that for me when i'm in a low place and feeling discouraged - this song works like an antidepressant except its not pharma poison and actually does its job. But that's because he's speaking some Worship and you're never alone if you walk with Jesus.
Here you go. Hope you enjoy - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sF4dvtiqQ-o
