If she had fat transfer to make her too-thin gaunt face look more youthful, there is a period of time when the face looks real puffy. It's possible she is looking like Madonna did at the Grammy's and she simply can't be seen this way.
If so, them dropping fake 'current' photos culled from when she was younger would make sense, because she (hopefully) will look younger after recovery.

No. Crohn’s is having serious bowel problems, pain, diarrhea, periodic flare ups etc. l understand why she would want to keep it private. I looked for a condition that could possibly involve abdominal surgery & knew that steroids treat a number of illnesses and can cause a puffy face. The picture of Catherine in the car with her mother. Also, the abdominal surgery may have been planned, but a flare up may have necessitated an emergency hospitalization. Hence cancelling of some scheduled events.
