Why would it be as low as zero?
The judge already rejected the proposal to lower it to 100 million.
I'm reading that they were negotiating with Chubb to do the bond. The same company he just got a bond from. And Chubb just informed them, they would no to of take real estate as collateral. And that is what necessitated this filing.
The filing also said Chubb was the only bond company willing to consider real estate.
It looks like something caused negotiations to stop.
Wasn't that (mis)judge Engorgeron?
Engoron did the judgement.
But when Trump asked a judge to stay the judgement without putting up the full bond, that was an appellate judge
So, there is someone above that?
In NY there's
The Supreme Court.... the trial.
The Appellate Division....where Trump is making motions now.
The Court of Appeals
Bond is due next Monday.
The original judge wouldn’t lower it. But he could go to the appeals court to lower it. This may be the first step in that process.
Seems like they want two more cracks at it
Which Judge?
