They had to be vaccinated - nope - no they didn’t, I was told I had to get it and told my bosses, no hard feelings, it wasn’t your rule, my truck will be cleaned out and be sitting out front of the house with the keys in it, 22 years down the drain. No regrets and no second thoughts. It’s YOUR choice, it’s a shitty choice, but yours.
I was a contractor to a 3-letter agency in DC. It became clear that it was vax or job. My wife's lib org was pushing it hard, even though she was remote. Neither of us were going to take the jab and said we'd rather live in a box on the street. I quit, we sold our house of almost 30 years and moved to NC. I left the gov world and into private sector. Zero regrets. Thank God we had the financial means to do so. Many people did not have the financial ability to say no to the jab.
So happy to hear that you made it out on the other end and on top. Way to navigate that fren and happy to hear that it sounds like everything is going well
Many were forced. I chose to stand up and said if I have to, I'll quit. Some of the people I know have no choice due to finance and family. No work, no eat.
we here told the management if they pushed the vax we were all leaving...about 60% of the workforce...we are an aircraft manufacturer so we let them choose go with the flow or close the doors.....we were ok.....
Where I worked at the time they wanted to try and force it but enough of use outright told them in our meetings we're walking if they do. So it was incredibly pushed but not specifically forced. One guy who did get it lasted about two months and then had to quit for health reasons. All the pure bloods would ask about him when the passive aggressive push to poison us came up in meetings and that usually ended that conversation. Everyone knew even the deniers.
My company pushed also. I told them I took one flu vaccine as an adult and out for 1.5 month due to flu. I almost flunk school. After that, no vaccine of any kind for me. Then I gave them religious exemption.

I had to choose between the best and highest paying job I've ever had or be fired.
I chose against the vax and was fired. Took me a full year to find employment again. It was a terrible and stressful struggle.
Would do it again and again if I had to. No one regrets not taking it.

People underestimate how awful feeling regret is.
If you don’t have your health, you have nothing!
I'm so proud of you fren. You have rare courage and that is exactly the type of courage our world needs right now. God Bless You.
