I've read that that salute was used by Americans and wasn't actually just a Nazi thing.
In their case it was; most of the British establishment supported Hitler, Edward paid him a visit and all their royal European cousins were Nazis. Prince Philip's sisters married high ranking nazis.
You have been indoctrinated about the "Nazis."
Who called them Nazi? Not the Germans.
That should be a hint, regarding the use of the word as a slander.
The Japanese didn't call themselves "gooks," either.
The Americans and British supported the Germans, and the German royalty are from the Anglo-Saxon heritage. The Angles and Saxons were Germanic people. The British royal family is of Germanic ancestry. So of course, they would interact with and support their bretheren.
If Hitler met with the English royals, it was likely to try and get them to talk some sense into that maniac Churchill, who was hell-bent on war.
Agreed. Churchill was a warmonger, should have been tried for war crimes.
I think that part of the purpose of labeling slander terms to people and people groups is using terms that those people do not use to refer to themselves. Whether Nazi or any other term, they were indoctrinated psychotic falsely religious peons used by their satanic leader for their religious end.
Not just to slander, but to dehumanize, to make it easier for normies to hate them.
Normies won't do any research, so they operate by muh-feelz, which is dictated by emotions of love or hate, which can be manipulated by either hero worship or dehumanization. Facts are not relevant to anyone who refuses to look at facts.
You talking about the Germans during the Hitler years, and Hitler himself?
He was a Christian, not a satanic leader. He built hundreds (at least) of churches in the Ukraine when he occupied it, and tore down the satanic synagogues -- the exact opposite of what the Soviets had done to the Christians of Ukraine.
The German people were also Christian, and not at all psychotic. They had just been destroyed by the jews during WW1 and the Weimar Republic aftermath.
Naturally, they did not like the jews, but they did not actually do anything to them until after a Polish jew murdered a German diplomat in Paris AND the jews all around the world decalred war on Germany and boycotted all German goods (1933). That is when Kristallnacht ("Night of Crystal," or "the broken glass") happened, but Goebbels put a stop to it. It only lasted one night.
Other than that, the German people didn't do anything to the jews. Hitler rounded up the communist jews and the subversive jews and put them into prison camps, which were turned into labor camps for the war effort.
Almost everyone in the West has been indoctrinated about that time and place in history with false propaganda.
Goebbels himself said that government can tell a big lie, and if they constantly repeat it, the people will believe it.
See: Covid pandemic progaganda, 9/11 propaganda, 2020 fair election propaganda, etc.
Funny thing is, the false historians want us to believe that Goebbels was bragging about what he and the German government could do to the German people.
But that is yet more false propaganda.
He gave a speech and wrote a paper called, "Churchill's Lie Factory," where he said these things about what the British had done for many years. He was responding to the lies the Brits were spinning about the atrocities in Poland that had been committed by the Soviets, but were being falsely blamed on the Germans.
Your knowlege seems to be lacking in this area of history.
But that is true of most people, including me, until I researched it.
You want to know what it was like being a German citizen and living in Germany during the Hitler years? Listen to someone who lived it:

It was/is a White European salute of honor.
It actually goes back (at least) to the Roman Empire.
