Probably doesn't need it as much now that he's released his info in a recorded format. No benefit, only risk if 'they' go after him.

The epitome of "don't announce you have information, just do it". Get the information out there, because when you do, further action against you validates it. Whereas they can brush it off if some dude just dies from an accident with unsubstantiated claims.
