I don't even want to know the symbolism behind the green slime.
always thought it was a nod to ghostbusters, but now...
Nickelodeon may have not always been infested with sickos. The logo in the post is from 2023.
Nickelodeon has used several logos over the years.

Eh it goes back man. Ren n Stimpy? Numerous shows with adult jokes. These are all the same pedo producers and writers today as they had when they started up.
This shit goes back to the days of Disney and their debauchery, you really think after so many 50+ years of Disney they let an entire innocent kids network slip by and take over?
Aren’t Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon owned by same entities? Adult Swim would pop on 11 with sex violence drugs satan, how many kids stay up to watch tv past 10? I remember that was always the appeal and allure to stay up and see how the shows would shift it was always a big mystery to catch a glimpse.
Good points.
The green slime AKA gunge orginally came from a show produced in Canada in 1979 called "You Can't Do That On Television". The then fledgling Nickelodeon network picked it up in 1981.
It was a sketch comedy show with a teenage cast. If one of the cast members said the words "I don't know" they ended up getting green slime dumped on their head.
