The best Rock came from the UK in IMO. Zeppelin, Beatles, Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, Stones, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Yardbirds, Cream, The Who, just to name a few.
A lot of people enjoy shtupping anything that acquiesces.
Before that there was a gospel singer, Buddy Holly, other more wholesome musicians - less existential, just about fun, no open subversion. The gospel singer was famously sent to war. Didn’t kill him. Hooked on drugs. Whitney playbook origin? Took too long. Stick him away in Vegas for a while and make him ridiculous. When were the opium wars and who ran them? Why? Related?
Didn’t a bunch of them die in a plane crash? Dead music? Modern songs about Buddy Holly? Why? Which British musicians were tied to intel?
Kinda like how rock dove off the cliff with the “British Invasion”?
We considered naming our bar band, "John,Paul,George and Ringo" to fill even more seats.
