Supreme Court likely to discard Chevron - SCOTUSblog
It has been nearly 40 years since the Supreme Court indicated in Chevron v. Natural Resources Defense Council that courts should defer to an agency’s reasonable interpretation of an ambiguous statute. After more than three-and-a-half hours of oral argument...
Eliminating the chevron deference as an argument will make the administrative state (aka bureaucracy) have to actually defend their overreach by proving the law actually authorizes them to regulate in the way they have said it does.
In other words it should knee cap a bunch of BS rules that don't actually stay within the laws passed by congress. And we are already seeing good results out of the removal of the chevron deference argument from the lower courts.
Thank you! As a result hopefully we go back to small government
It would be a massive blow to the administrative state.
I think this will be a huge win for MAGA. But when will it be out?
