Is it possible that he knows his base will not abandon him, and he's "gathering" fence-sitters for whom this is the only issue, and thus show an even greater margin of victory? Then, once in office, the R-controlled Congress will vote to ban abortions and send the bill to Trump, and he'll sign it saying that the people elected these Congressional leaders?
that's exactly it. I really don't care much about the issue of abortion and see it more of a political trap to try and keep us from straightening out the fraudulent election that have been put forth just so commie dems can steal power. he could have said "abortion should be legal up to birth" (this is a loaded statement and I do not support this position) and I would still vote for him because he is still the best chance of getting us to the point of ppl fixing things the way we want them
Ex-fucking-actly. Bottom line is all that matters, and to hell with the "not Presidential" and wedge issue types. Those people need the proverbial kick upside the head. After all we've been through as a country, what will it take for these types to use some common sense?!?!?!?
This particular issue gets my blood pressure up. I have to listen to the (mainly) elderly and others around here whine and cry about the way Trump posts and says mean things, and even asking if they're better off now than they were under Trump, and pointing out the crap that the bumbler-in-chief has done, doesn't shake this idiotic and moronic mindset. C'moooooooon precipice!
Totally agree. I lean pro life but a total ban on abortion is not popular with the majority of the population. There is a lot of bigger fish to fry at the moment.
Yep. Now, if only the Pro-life zealots would shut up about a total ban and distracting everyone from victory.
We are still light-years away from a total ban, and we have more immediate shorter-term goals to fulfill before we can start thinking about such things again.
Like, getting rid as many Demonic Rats from their offices as possible, and installing MAGA-men in their place.
Fortunately, discussions with my Local Republican Committee and associates reveal that they are getting the message: we'll try to avoid abortion-issues in favor of something everyone can agree on, like inflation, crime, economy, tyrannical Demonic Rats, and the works. If abortion comes up, we will take an actual moderate stance and let the craziness of the Demonic Rats drive voters to us.

Yup abortion is not even in my top 15 of issues. Stopping the LGBTQ agenda is the much more important social issue anyways.
