This is a good article on homeopathics that can be used for oral lichen planus. You would be able to buy these at Vitamin Shoppe or Swanson online. I do not know if you are knowledgable about homeopathics, but I can give further instructions on how to choose the right remedy and how to use if you are so inclined.
This is from Evidence Based Essential Oil Therapy by Dr. Scott A. Johnson
Oral - Take a capsule filled with 3 drops each of vetiver, frankincense, lavender and spruce, and 1 drop of clove, morning and evening. Take an additional capsule with 3 drops each of clove, oregano, lemon, cinnamon, and 1 drop of eucalyptus and melalaleuca (tea tree), once midday. For oral lichen planus, add 1 drop each of clove, melaleuca and oregano to half a cup of water and 1 teaspoon of aloe vera, and then swish, gargle, and swallow up to 3 times daily.
Topical - For lichen planus that affects the skin, apply 1-2 drops each of frankincense, lavender and melaleuca in 1 teaspoon of aloe vera to the affected area as often as needed.
You can buy capsules online and you can buy essential oils at Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy which carries Swiss Aromatics or through Plant Therapy, which Dr. Tisserand consults with or through Tropical Traditions which carries Florihana oils from France...just be careful with cinnamon or clove oil...it is strong.
I also noticed that something that triggers the oral lichen planus is mercury fillings. I had mine removed many years ago and replaced with composite fillings...something to consider...there are so many things that can make us sick...again good luck researching and evaluating any info I share...always do your own research. I am sure holding colloidal silver in your mouth then swallowing would also be beneficial...there are just so many great things to utilize.
Thank you fren! I'd been over the Dr Axe site and have tried many of these treatments, but some of this is new. I downloaded Evidence Based Essential Oil Therapy by Dr. Scott A. Johnson from Kindle this afternoon. Will let you know how things go.
That is my go to EO book...I would be excited to know if you find success with any of these things...there are other options...never give up...there is ALWAYS an answer...God bless...
I had never heard of this so I did a cursory search online to find out what it is and surprisingly there are some great testimonies for natural cures.
For oral health in general I suggest pulling with an organic coconut oil. Swish 1 teaspoon coconut oil in your mouth for 15-20 minutes. Spit it out in the garbage and rinse your mouth with warm saltwater. You can read all about coconut pulling online. You may add essential oils to your coconut oil...suggestions are clove, tea tree, thieves blend, eucalyptus...I don't know if you know anything about EO's but you would need further instruction. Apparently Aloe Vera is also very therapeutic with great healing and soothing properties. You can rinse and take internally...both are helpful. I recommend Georges.

This is a great article by Dr. Axe that covers a lot of information and suggestions. I can look up additional treatments but I am not at home and that is where my resource books are.
I also saw that low levels of folate and vitamin D are mentioned. You can take 100-150 mg. B complex that would be helpful. Test your vitamin D levels...it should be in the 70 ng/mL range. I maintain mine at 70 by taking NOW 10,000 IU daily with a Life Extension Super K. This is one of the best improvements I have made in my health regimen.
Any other thoughts or questions let me know...I am not a doctor but I certainly enjoy studying alternative treatment of diseases...good luck with however you choose to proceed. I will add additional resources when I get home.
Fantastic...been involved with homeopathics for 45 years...very beneficial to know about this alternative valid area of study...
I've followed your posts with interest over the last couple of years. Have you any suggestions for oral lichen planus?
