Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Ty. Am wondering if it’s infection from spring allergies. Baked an inion and it took some pain away. Plan on repeating this evening and am looking into the Debrox, so ty for that recommendation!
You’re welcome & hope you get better soon. Also, I keep this brand vinegar blend in stock. It’s usually in my local grocery store for the same price online. I take the lemon ginger version. If you don’t like ginger they have others. Even my husband likes it and my one year old granddaughter took it and didn’t complain.

There years in a row during allergy season I had a severe ear infection, so bad it kept me out of work several days. I thought it was just allergies. Several years ago light bulb went off, the building I worked in was flooded after a hurricane that went bad. So, I’m thinking mold had something to do with it. However I’ve always had terrible allergies and occasionally ear infections.
For infections especially colds and allergies I like the following:
I don’t order directly from Dr Christopher’s. There’s several good sites online that carry it. A couple times in a pinch I did order from amazon or Walmart. I have a friend that has a prime account and can get it quickly. Just be careful ordering from amazon! Double check that the company sells on their and Amazon is the seller, not a small third party seller. I saw an article a few months ago about fake supplements on there. The bottles didn’t have all the brand info on the label, a big red flag. Some companies only sell on amazon including good natural companies.
I take this anytime I’m exposed to someone that’s sick or feels like I’m coming down with something.

I had a terrible cold or sinus infection and waited to long to go get antibiotics. For a while it seemed like the antibiotics weren’t helping. I got this and could tell a difference. Now I only take on bad seasonal allergy days.

I always keep Oregano Oil Capsules on hand. I trust this company. I don’t recommend the oil or tincture for ingesting. I’ve taken herbal tinctures for several years and some are very bitter but tolerable. The oregano tincture burns and you can’t get rid of the taste even mixed in OJ.
