I agree with this to a degree. If you are truly innocent, fine. But if you are speeding, suck it up and pay the toll. Don't waste everyone's time because you want to abuse our rights. We all know right and wrong; you can lie to another person but you can never lie to God. Just how I try and approach things
Asserting your right not to answer questions isn't lying to anyone, nor is it "abusive". Your rights, use them or lose them. They do come from God, after all.
But why refuse to answer questions if you were speeding? That's all I'm trying to say. 1 Peter 2:13-15 does say we have a duty to obey authority is all. I know many are distrustful of authority for rightful reasons. All I'm saying is be honest; if you were speeding you were speeding. If you stole you stole; this is a circular argument and judging by responses on here I don't think I'm going to get anywhere with anyone. It all comes down to whether your trust most officers or don't.
I don't think God really cares how fast you drive.
1 Peter 2:13-15. We have a duty to obey authority. Does that mean most if not all of us speed. Yes. However, if I'm going to speed and I break the law then I'm going to have to pay the consequences of my actions is all. In that context I do believe it matters. If I break the law, speed, and then fight the ticket b/c I don't want to pay it I do think it matters.
There is no "law" against speeding. Legislation is not law.
1 Peter 2:13-17. "Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king"
"I respectfully decline to answer because I honestly believe my answer might tend to incriminate myself."
Be Joe Gallo. Be Joe Gallo af.
I presume you mean one of the gangsters, not the baseball player that helped ruin the game.
