Where there is a will, there is always a way. I was surprised to learn of the distance a skilled sniper can fire and hit his target, at least 1/2 mile!
The longest confirmed sniper kill was 3,540 meters by a Canadian sniper. That's like hitting a hole in one on a par 5, but impressive nonetheless. That's 2.19 miles.

Just an FYI...on the Canadian Sniper: He was using a TAC-50...which is a .50 caliber round.
