I like the info Dr. Makis shares...D levels need to be at about 70 ng/mL...you get tested when you get bloodwork...but you often have to ask. My family takes 10,000 IUs daily with a Super K from Life Extension...and we started in the mid 20's and are now around 70 ng/mL...I cannot begin to tell you how this has improved our lives...Vitamin D or Hormone D deficiency is one of the biggest problems in Healthcare today...and even sadder is that it is SO easy to correct. You need to know many people do not absorb adequate D from the sun...testing is the only way to know...
I drink 3-4 gallons of whole milk a week and I'm always outside doing something... probably 10-20 hours of direct sun exposure per week (used to be more but I took a maintenance position in a factory), I wonder what my levels are.
