I don’t know if it’s a majority, a few million, or what. Poor choice of words.

Your other option is indeed a potentiality for people with inner monologues, agreed.

The thought I laid out is also just a theory of mine. It’d need to be tested to see if it held any water.

Yeah, I upvoted your comment because I think you’re on to something. Maybe a thesis like ‘People lacking inner monologue are easier to bamboozle.’

It’s just not the whole story w/ covid and the other major hoaxes.
