Depends on the lawsuit's exact wording... but the SCOTUS likely made the right decision in not hearing it.
Think about it. EVERY electronic machine is "hackable". Would a SCOTUS ban on electronic machines which are "hackable" also apply to electronic cash registers? or school computers? or transportation control systems? or traffic lights? or vending machines?
If just the fact that something was "hackable" means that you can't ever use it... then we can continue that argument into trashing 99% of all computer systems.
It's NOT the computer voting system that is at fault. It's the fraudulent use of it that's the problem. The states need to set up systems to monitor the voting computers, watch for any anomalies and be able to audit the electronic count manually if needed.
It's not the Supreme Court's job to simply ban voting machines, or any other machines, just because a state (or business) doesn't maintain the integrity of the system.
which actually makes it a WIN because of just the way you worded it. Every Machine is HACKABLE so therefore the only answer is handcounted paper ballots. Pass It On!
Why doesn't this ever come up in recounts though? We keep seeing that paper recounts are very close to the machine counts. How are they doing this?
The real issue is forensics. Are the ballots valid? Not folded mail in ballots? Printed filled in ovals...fake and missing signatures. Correct paper stock. And on and on. Actual forensic audits would show the immensity of the fraud. But attention spans are small and don’t allow for actual work to be done.
I thought the Cyber Ninja's did all that, checked for bamboo fibers and things like that. Was that all fake?
