Passage from THE FOUNDER'S BIBLE
No one fully knows from what unrealized dangers God has preserved each of us?
Perhaps we left our house to run an errand, remembered that we had forgotten something important, and so we impatiently or even angrily returned to get it, not appreciating the fact that the time required for the return trip might have been just enough to prevent us from having reached an intersection at a time when a drunk driver was speeding through.
We are painfully aware of the irritations and disappointments of life and are quick to voice our complaint and perhaps blame God; but do we stop and thank Him for watching over us and the countless times we have been rescued and spared calamity, though unaware?
The possibilities of such unseen interventions are multitudinous, but they frequently occur and are just one of many blessing GOD bestows on His children. And so, we, as Dr. Benjamin Rush did, ought to pray and thank God for His interventions on our behalf, both seen and unseen-interventions that may well have come through His ministering spirits sent to help us.
Yes, ditto. One that was a multi-car, multi-fatality accident that we would have been in had we not been delayed by a short bit.
Weird thing is…that morning the HS prompted me to go and ask some people standing down the street, strangers to pray with me for our safe travels home. I was like…”You want me to go do what with those strangers? They’ll think I’m crazy.” I did it anyway but it was hard.
The most notable occasions were when my adopted son called me when I was leaving a store to drive home. He never called me on days when he was working, but on that occasion he chatted on for about 30 mins. The second time was when I had surgery to drain my sinus: we were about to leave when my nose started bleeding and had to wait 'till it stopped. Both times there were horrendous accidents on the roads. Praise God.
Yes, divine intervention.
