Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
It’s been a busy week! Sitting down resting with tens unit on my back. I should do this several times a week to keep the pain at bay. When you are a person that looks after everyone else’s needs and tend to forget about yourself it can backfire on you. I just forget self care maybe because my grandma was the same and I learned by example. I’m not complaining, I love taking care of those I love.
Had 14 month old granddaughter almost twelve hours two days plus the dachshund who is a jealous child. He doesn’t know he’s not human. Rested half the day Thursday. Working cleaning out yesterday and today. I have way to much and am trying to get rid of things I don’t need. On the flip side anytime my husband needs something I have it.
Monday I go to eye doctor and hopefully can get the cataract surgery scheduled.
Lol. That stood out to me.
Sorry you've been having pain and I hope the tens unit works.
Glad to know I’m not the only pack rat. I get it from my grandma. At least I don’t save cards, wrapping paper and magazines between the couch cushions🤣 Cleaning out her house was like going back in time. He’s always working on something around the house. Will need glue, tape, Velcro or random things like string. I always cut rawhide and ribbon etc off of clothes tags.
Thanks I’m used to pain, going on 25+ years. The good thing about getting chronic pain way back then I taught myself how to treat it because the doctors were clueless. It usually doesn’t hold me back. Two days picking up twenty pound toddler doesn’t help.
